1. Place the scale on a hard, flat, and stable surface. Avoid carpets, rugs, or soft flooring.
2. For initial calibration or if the scale has been moved, gently step on the scale until the display lights up, then step off. The display will show "0.0" or "0.00" and then turn off. This indicates successful calibration.
