The iHseno Tuya ZigBee Smart Knob Switch is a versatile wireless device designed for smart home automation. It functions as both a scene button and a rotatable dimmer, allowing intelligent linkage with other Tuya smart devices. This device requires a Tuya Zigbee gateway for operation and cannot be used independently. It is important to note that this product does not support Z2MQTT or HomeAssistant (HA) integration.

The Smart Knob Switch offers a two-in-one functionality for wireless scene control and dimming. It allows you to trigger smart scenes and control ZigBee dimming lamps wirelessly through the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app.

The device connects to your smart home ecosystem via a Tuya Zigbee hub, which then communicates with your Wi-Fi router and the smartphone application.

4. సెటప్

This device requires a Tuya Zigbee gateway to function. It is not compatible with Z2MQTT or HomeAssistant (HA).

4.2 Pairing with Tuya Zigbee Gateway

  1. Ensure your Tuya Zigbee gateway is powered on and connected to your network.
  2. Open the Smart Life / Tuya Smart app on your smartphone.
  3. Follow the app's instructions to add a new device.
  4. On the Smart Knob Switch, initiate pairing mode (usually by a long press on the reset button, see reset instructions below).
  5. The app should detect the device. Complete the pairing process as prompted.

If you need to reset the device, locate the small reset pinhole. Use a pin or a similar tool to press the reset button. A long press of 8 seconds is typically required for a successful reset. Be careful not to press the main dimmer button accidentally during this process, as it will prevent the device from resetting.

The Smart Knob Switch supports two main operation modes: Scene Mode (factory default) and Remote Mode. You can switch between these modes by quickly pressing the knob three times.

5.1 Two Mode Operation Instructions

5.2 Scene Mode (Factory Default)

In Scene Mode, the knob's actions are configured within the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app to trigger specific smart scenes or automations.

You can create multiple intelligent scenes and group controls for various smart devices within the Tuya Smart app.

5.3 రిమోట్ మోడ్

In Remote Mode, the knob directly controls ZigBee dimming lamps that have been added under the remote dimming interface in the app.

6. నిర్వహణ

  • బ్యాటరీ భర్తీ: The device uses a CR2450 battery. When the battery is low, the device may become unresponsive or the LED indicator might not light up. Replace the battery by carefully opening the device and inserting a new CR2450 battery, ensuring correct polarity.
  • పర్యావరణ పరిస్థితులు: Avoid exposing the device to extreme temperatures (-10°C to 55°C is the operating range) or high humidity (0-99% RH is the operating range). The device has a waterproof level of IP55, offering some protection against dust and water splashes, but it is not fully waterproof and should not be submerged.

7. ట్రబుల్షూటింగ్

Problem: Device cannot be reset.
పరిష్కారం: Ensure you are pressing the correct reset pinhole and not the main dimmer button. A long press of 8 seconds on the designated reset pin is required. Refer to Figure 5 for the correct reset location.
Problem: ZigBee gateway does not detect the device / No LED lights up or blinks during pairing.

  1. Verify that the CR2450 battery is correctly installed and has sufficient charge. If unsure, replace the battery.
  2. Ensure your Tuya Zigbee gateway is properly set up and online.
  3. Make sure the device is within range of the Zigbee gateway.
  4. Initiate the pairing process on both the device (long press reset button) and the Tuya Smart / Smart Life app simultaneously.
  5. Confirm that your gateway is a Tuya Zigbee gateway, as the device is not compatible with other Zigbee hubs like Z2MQTT or HomeAssistant (HA).
Problem: Device does not respond to commands.
