Humidex units should ideally be installed at floor level (approximately 3 inches off the floor) on an outside wall in the dampest, lowest part of your basement or crawlspace. Keep it as far as possible from the source of replenishment air.
The manufacturer's suggested comfort zone setting is between 40% and 60%. For specific seasonal recommendations, 55% is often suggested for summer and 45% for winter.
