To apply a firmware update, download the latest firmware from the Rotolight Support page to a USB 2.0 type A stick formatted to FAT32. With the light powered off, insert the USB stick. While holding down both control knobs, power on the unit and select 'YES' when the bootloader dialogue box appears.
Navigate to the 'SYS' menu on your light, select 'WiFi control', and choose 'APP CONTROL'. Wait roughly 20 seconds for the 'WiFi Ready' message to appear on the display, then open the Rotolight App, tap the '+' symbol, and scan the QR code on the light.
Rotolight fixtures feature integrated receivers that are compatible with Elinchrom Skyport, Godox, Profoto, and other wireless transmitters. Standard editions also allow wired third-party receivers via a 3.5mm flash sync socket.
Swipe to the 'SFX' menu using the touchscreen display. Tap your desired effect to start or stop it. You can adjust the parameters of each effect, such as brightness or color mode, using the left and right knobs or the on-screen controls.
