How do I change the master code on a Wittkopp safe lock?
Ensure the safe door is open. Press and hold the '0' button until the light stays on. Enter your current 6-digit code (the factory default is usually 123456), then enter your new 6-digit code twice to confirm. Always test your new code multiple times before completely closing the safe door.
-
What happens if I enter the wrong code on my Wittkopp lock?
For security, if incorrect codes are entered four times in a row, the keypad blocks automatically for five minutes. If an incorrect code is entered twice after the blocking period, a new five-minute lock-out delay begins.

How do I know when to change the battery on my Wittkopp safe lock?
When the battery is low, the light will flash and a warning signal will sound several times as you open the door. You should immediately replace the battery with a high-quality 9V battery. Do not use rechargeable batteries.

How do I add a secondary user code to my Wittkopp safe?
With the door open, press and hold the '1' button until the light stays on. Enter your 6-digit master code, then enter the new user code twice to confirm it. If successful, the light will turn off.
